Now you've got me scanning the ads for XK8/XKRs. Thanks.

Crazy prices. I could go for a 6k Phaeton...

The buying tips given on these kind of shows confuse me when it's a familiar brand. He specifically mentioned the ticking oil pump on the 2.8 i6 in the BMW. I've never heard of that being an issue. The loosening oil pump nuts on the early V8's on the other hand are a common issue... Same goes for Wheeler Dealers, some pretty weird tips in that show too. Still, I shouldn't complain... I much rather watch car shows even with their shortcomings than most of the other crap on TV.

@rchen: Do IT!

@Edvin: How's your new-to-you BMW?

Maxichamp: It's a lot better than I expected it to be in this price range. Still, there's always stuff to be done... I just spent practically the entire weekend working on the car. I got a lot of stuff done, but didn't fix any of the faults I set out to. :) Repaired one fuel gauge sender, renewed water pump, thermostat, belt tensioner pulley and accessory belt. Installed engine block heater and new radio. Bled cooling system.
