If it was a lease or something I wasn't going to keep much past four or five years I'd go with a Jaguar XJ, but if it had to be a keeper I'd chose a late LS460--not at all pleased with the new turbo V6 model.
I really admire the first two generations of A8, but the new one looks fussy and is loaded with tech that's going to fail in a big and expensive way just as all NOS parts dry up. I think it's a problem with all these new, overly-techy cars and it doesn't spell good news for their long-term survival. At least the big Toyota won't ever break.
