'80s superstars turned '90s one-hit wonders

These stars made one last gasp for fame and fortune in the early 1990s.  They weren't desperate yet, but it was getting close.  Then, it all petered out.

Exhibit A: Boy George's 1992 The Crying Game.  I must admit that in that crowded theater, I was the only one who exclaimed, after about 45 minutes into the movie: Dude, that lady is a duuuude!

Exhibit B: New Order's 1993 Regret.  This song may be better than their work from the '80s, and they came out with some great stuff.

Exhibit C: Duran Duran's 1993 Ordinary World.  This was a hit, but the only thing I liked about it was the odd wedding dress (and matching hat).

The better song from that album, in my humble opinion, is Come Undone.

I agree with pretty much all of the songs. I will take exception that out of all of them, Duran Duran continues to make music and routinely sells out arena size shows. Unfortunately, groups like Duran Duran,REM, and even The Rolling Stones become their own "de-facto" tribute band on tours. The Rolling Stones put out new music on a pretty consistant basis, but many fans want the old favorites and seem neutral on the new stuff. The same holds true with many bands that started in the 1980's that continue to tour now
