Yesterday's plan was to take a 450 mile road trip and cross the Mendocino range. We didn't check the road conditions and didn't find out that the 5,000 foot pass was closed due to snow until we saw a road closure sign at Willows (which was 130 miles away from home). Fortunately, Willows is just six miles away from Thunderhill Raceway. And an SCCA event was going on all day. Guess what I ended up doing?
The plethora of cars was mind-boggling. An Aston Martin was driving circles around a Dodge Neon on the track. I will post pictures of my day, which included a cattle drive, tonight. In the meantime, this safety car fascinated me more than any other.
