Heidfeld will again drive for Rebellion Racing

I'm at peace with the fact that Heidfeld will not be in F1 again.  Thankfully, Spark makes 1/43 scale models of Heidfeld's 2012 #12 Lola-Toyota.

I bought from CK-Modelcars before. Great service!
Here's a tip from buying in Europe - better buy from their website, not from eBay, because they exclude VAT for orders from outside of EU which is exactly 1/6th of the price. Also many German stores have fixed shipping price, doesn't matter if you buy one or 10 models. So the more you buy the less is shipping price per piece

If it is interesting for you there are few forums by joining which you will get 10% discount at big German model shops like CK-Modelcars, Modelissimo and few more.

How many models do you have in your collection and what's your focus?

@Sanchez: I have about 50 cars. All 1/43 scale. Mostly road cars. Minichamps, IXO, Spark. All my F1 cars belonged to Heidfeld.

What about your collection?

Mostly I collect 1:18 scale models.
I have 75 of them: AutoArt, Kyosho, Minichamps, Exoto etc. Main focus is European Classic Sport Cars although I have few Japanese and Americans.
Plus there is a dozen of 1:43s and a couple of 1:12s

Anyway here's the link to a thread on a scale model forum:

Some amazing details on those 1:18 models. Have they always been as precise, or have they gotten better over time as technology progresses?

The 1:18 Die-Cast Model Industry has been developing approximately for the past 15 years. And today we have such models as CMC 1:18 Bartoletti Ferrari F1 Transporter which has mindblowing details or Exoto 1:18 Ferrari 156 Sharknose with working butterfly valves and rotating clutch housing. Unfortunately together with detailization prices increase too. For example recent AutoArt model from their main series cost around 140 Euro whereas it was around 80 Euro 3-4 years ago. Luckily there such brands as Welly, Norev, Sun Star, HWE etc. which offer great value for the price

There is another interesting trend in 1:18 Model Industry which is resin models. They have no opening parts because resin is too fragile. The main reason to use to use resin is low cost to develop new models. In the beginning resin was used to produce niche models in low runs which have no big popularity but today it is taking over
