Twin engined cars: Citroen 2CV Sahara and Mosler TwinStar Eldorado

First, we've got the 2CV Sahara, which was designed for use in France's North African colonies.  This Czech owner describes everything you need to know about it (with English subtitles).  Just remember not to smoke your Gitanes while driving because you're sitting on the fuel tank.

If you still haven't had your fill of twin engined oddities, here's the Mosler TwinStar Eldorado.  275 horsepower engine up front (the business end).  300 hp engine in the back (the party end).  Car & Driver write-up here.

I like the Sahara but did not realize how complex the drivetrain was in that. I was behind a Mosler Twinstar in Maryland several years ago (at a Rail Road crossing). I kept telling my wife that something was different about that car and then noticed as it pulled off and turned that the dimensions were off from a standard Eldorado. I later saw the C&D article about the car. Pretty wild stuff.

@MattC: I like the clean look of the regular Eldo, but the TwinStar is certainly ugly.

THE MOSLER TWIN STAR IS NOTHING NEW. BACK IN THE LATE 1960S & EARLY 1970S, THERE WERE TWIN ENGINE OLDS TORONADOS & 442S.
