Iowa's Maid Rite sandwiches

Are there any Iowans out there?

I'll be in northwest Iowa for a wedding.  Along the way, I want to stop for a Maid Rite sandwich.  I've been fascinated by it ever since I saw it on the mouth watering PBS documentary Sandwiches That You Will Like (skip to 15:22):

If you know of any worthwhile sites between Omaha airport and Sioux Center (not Sioux City), Iowa, please let me know.  Thanks.

The name of that documentary is just fantastic.

@Alan: IIRC, there were a few Chicago places mentioned on the show. Or maybe I'm confusing it with a documentary on hot dog joints.

Maxilane,

There are many sandwiches you would like from Chicago. Our Italian Beef is a thing of beauty, Al's being my favorite purveyor. When it comes to Hot Dogs, all you need is Hot Dougs - dude makes his own exotic combinations of sausages and was proclaimed one of the greatest restaurants in the world by Gourmet - check out the menu or look for a youtube clip of Bourdain paying a visit.

Ever been to my hometown?
