The Globetrekking Mercedes W123 300TD
Traveling overland in a rugged car has always been one of my dreams. Here is an epic journey taken by a Dutchman, his wife, and their son in a vegetable oil-powered Mercedes W123 300TD wagon. They traveled 29,000 km throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North and West Africa. The pictures are beyond spectacular.

Wauw, let me make a small correction. It is not a German family but a Dutch one. In fact I know the owner of the kombi (in fact he is on his second ;-) ). You can read the whole story here http://300td.org/. Have a great new year. John
It looks like they don't have an "residence" field in ther ID card :)
What happened to them? the last date in the blog is from 2006..nothing newer. I also have an 300TD and i'm a big fan of the bulletproof w123 in general...

I think he's blogging again, I see images which just weren't there a week ago.
As I can see they still travel.
