There is a touching article in today's New York Times about the remaining residents in Kalaupapa, Molokai. It is the former site of the leper colony headed by Father Damien. I wrote about my visit to the grounds a few years ago. At the end of my piece, I discussed the residents I never met there. Well, the Times article introduces us to a few of the remaining "patients".
