What happened in Oakland last night was sad, and not surprising. I can understand the points of view of all those involved: the protesters, the community, the cops, the elected officials, the store owners, and street parkers. Unfortunately, this will probably devolve deeper into chaos before it gets "better". Let's just hope no one gets seriously hurt.
