After qualifying 11th and losing almost all hope of repeating his championship, Button was attacked by a gang of armed goons yesterday in Sao Paulo. (Talk about a bad day.) All the reports state that he escaped in an armored Mercedes, but no one (at least in the English press) identified the model or had a picture of the car. Well, Jenson Button's armored car was a Mercedes-Benz B200.
Obrigado, F1O!

It's too bad the Sauber guys didn't have the same luck... What an embarassment for Brazil!
@F1O: Not to make light of the situation, but I wonder if Heidfeld's man-purse is secure.
Are there any other viable tracks for F1 in Brazil or the rest of Latin America? Where did they race in Argentina?
I'm sure Heidfeld's belongings are safe and sound.
In Brazil there's another track in Curitiba that's got decent infrastructure. Not to mention Curitiba is a much safer city. But the track layout isn't anywhere near as good as interlagos'. And neither does Curitiba's city hall have the money available for an F1 race.
There's a track in Argentina that would be a dream to see F1 cars racing on. It's called Potrero de los Funes. It's supposed to be very modern and the layout looks amazing. I know it's FIA sanctioned as they've have FIA-GT races there.
I don't know where they used to race when F1 used to race there.
