We've already covered the more obscure super-vans, the Renault Espace F1 and the VW/Porsche hybrid Race-Taxi. Now, we'll look at the most popular super-van, Britain's Ford Transit Supervan.
The first Supervan was introduced in 1971. It had the same 302 V8 as the Ford GT40.
Mark 2 debuted in 1984. It was based on a C100 Group C racer.
Mark 3 originally had a 650 horsepower Cosworth F1 engine. But due to "practicality", a meager V6 was switched in its place.
