I've written about the XM in America before. The few that came here were federalized by CXA. This is one of only 18 in the States. The amazing thing is that it has less than 25,000 miles, only one owner, and was garage kept. For any car buff with a little extra cash and a very understanding spouse, this is a great buy.

Nice car. Finding a great condition XM is very rare given the limited imports. Apparently there is an CXA XM out there that was severely wrecked and later rebuilt. The car had a maroon paint job the last time it went up for sale.
If you want an XM you should consider importing one from Europe.
The "big" Citroen did not hold its value well and the 1990-92 models that were imported here should be an absolute bargain by now.
The XM does appear on the NHTSA's list of vehicles eligible for import. (VCP 1 designation, Docket #92-32)

The modifications performed by CXA are a matter of public record and can be obtained from the NHTSA. With that information in-hand importing a 1990-1992 XM should be cheaper than your typical Grey-market import. On the EPA side you might be required to fit a larger catalytic converter to appease the smog Politzi.
Thanks Alan for the info. Though XMs are probably a lot cheaper in Euroland, they are probably not in pristine condition and it's still a relative hassle to import them here.
The ebay auction ended w/o anyone meeting reserve, so it will be posted again.
I'd love to know where the dozen or so CXA Citroen XMs are today.
