Banned in the USA video
This music video from 1990 is super dated and yet super topical today with Cancel Culture.

Unbelievable photos from last week
The protests just keep going...
This was Walnut Creek on Friday afternoon. I take this street every weekday to drive home from work. It's not a very diverse town. I was pleasantly surprised to see all these young people out there.
And here's what the mayor of Washington, DC allowed to be painted on the street in front of the White House:
Finally, Mitt Romney marching with BLM. Once you've lost the presidency, you really DGAF.

Minnesota now
America: 100,000 dead from Covid-19. 40 million jobs lost. How is your day going?
Turn up the sound.

Fight the Power
I went to the Bernie Sanders rally last night in Los Angeles, along with 34,999 other supporters. It was a powerful experience. And to top it off, I got to see Chuck D perform.
California votes tomorrow. The centrists are coalescing against Bernie...

Iowa clusterfuck
Well, the caucus last night was a disaster. The app to upload the count tallies failed. And we don't know when the official results will be announced.
And here is an eye-opening video. A voter who just voted for Mayor Pete wanted to take her vote back because she just learned he was gay.
Our democracy is doomed.

I'm going to Fort Dodge, Iowa!
Maybe.
I'm thinking of going to Iowa again to knock on doors for Bernie before the February 3 caucus. The campaign is much more organized and streamlined this time around. You just go online and they tell you where volunteers are needed the most. This year, they need people in Waterloo (I was there in 2016), Sioux City (a swing district near Omaha), and Fort Dodge (a solidly blue district until Trump).
To give you some perspective, Fort Dodge (population 25,000) is in Webster County (38,000). From 1984 to 2012, the county consistently voted for Democratic presidential candidates. In 2012, 52.1% voted for Obama. In 2016, 57.7% voted for Trump.
Here is the biggest attraction in Fort Dodge, a mural on an abandoned silo!

Howard Stern interviews Hillary Clinton
This is an incredible interview. She opens up so much. She's even likable. Had she given this interview before the election, she might have won. But then again, she can only be this open because she lost. Intelligent, complicated woman.
Watch the entire 2.5 hour interview here.

Obama versus Trump speech styles
Now you know I don't often (if ever) post photos or videos of our current president. But this is pretty funny.
