For the same money, and if you're going to take the domestic plunge, cross-shop the SS with the Challenger 392 (non-SRT8). Even if your family grew, you could totally fit a booster seat in the back ; and if you stay DINKs, even more reason to enjoy the 2-door lifestyle.
@Pete: I appreciate the Challenger, in theory. But it's too big/bulbous/brash.
I can support this decision (and agree re: Challenger, too; it's hUGE)!
I was seriously considering one a year ago ... before the other two Phaetons just happened. This is a perfect sleeper and will be a future collectible.
I've driven it extensively and fully support this idea. I LOVE the car. It's so Australian. It drives beautifully, and it's truly the last of an era of homegrown Australian cars. DO IT.
