Every time I take the limousine bus from Narita to YCAT (Yokohama), I am greeted by a recording of a lady welcoming me to the "limousine buusssss". Whenever I hear it, I know that I am officially in Japan.
Turns out, that Monocle article doesn't have it 100% correct -- the Japanese portion of the announcement sounds like Keiko Nakamura, whose voice is found in a bewildering array of automated devices.
Me, I'm still working on the owner of the voice on the Hong Kong MTR subway.

I'm also curious about the high pitched male voice who reminds me that I am arriving at the Hachioji station.
Here you go, enjoy tracking down their agencies & voice sample pages!
