There was a short story in The Economist about the Arab League. In essence, of the 22 members, only seven* bothered to send their heads of state to a bi-annual summit last month in Mauritania. They were:
- Mauritania (he was in town anyway)
- Yemen (not welcome in his own country, had free time)
- Sudan (wanted by ICC for genocide)
- Qatar
- Somalia
- Djibouti
- Comoros
- Kuwait
*The Economist mentioned seven but I found eight elsewhere. Nobody cares.
