Jiro Dreams of Sushi

This documentary is available on Netflix streaming.  It's not just about food, but about work ethic, honing a craft, father-son relationships, and so much more.  Has anyone eaten there?

Just watched it the other day. One of my favorite docs.

I recently read Marco Pierre White's autobiography, and 70% of the book was about Michelin stars and how they are earned - that a restaurant in a basement hallway with no restroom can attain 3 stars on the quality of food alone is just inconceivable. It really must be the best meal available anywhere on earth.

I really hope to eat there one day, hopefully before old man Jiro passes.

Also, I'm totally gay for Bourdain - coolest cat alive.

Previous comment deleted for pervasive grammar and spelling errors. There really should be an edit function available for five minutes or so.

@Alan: At 30,000 yen for a 20 minute meal, you've got to be committed.

The old man won't let anyone cook the eggs until they've apprenticed for 10 years!
