I decided to get off my ass today and do a short hike. The trailhead is less than two miles from my house and goes through a thick redwood grove. Its highest point is at 1,052 feet where it meets the East Ridge Trail. I did it around noon so the lighting is weird. I took the photos with a new-in-box Canon PowerShot G15 that we found during Chinese New Year cleaning. Apparently, my wife bought it in 2012 for a field trip for work but got her first iPhone at the same time. So she never opened the box!
