@Ed Kim: the house is a Mid-century Modern built by Eichler which can be found all over NorCal & SoCal @Francisco: maintaining those myself, haven't yet had any major issues that required the dealer (knock on wood!)
@S - Nice! I need to find a new VAG-COM cable and an old laptop to run some codes on mine. If you have the VAG-COM let me know. Maybe our Phaetons can have a play date.
I'm scared of the W12 - was this the black one approx 65K miles that was 1st for sale at VW of Oakland earlier this year, and then at an independent dealer?
@Francisco: I do have a VAG-COM cable, you can't own a Phaeton without one! My W12 is the silver one, 78k miles, bought with front end damage which will be fixed soon.

Way ahead of him :)
@Lukas: Yeah, I was thinking about your 6.9s when I posted this.
That's insane... And this from the guy who has seriously considered owning 2 Phaetons at the same time.
I can live with the V8's for years. But the W12 will certainly put all the kid's of a VW or Bentley service person through college.
My question - who services these cars? and if independent, please make an intro for me.
@Francisco: I think S does most of the servicing himself.
Wait...I'm just as fascinated by his house! Beautiful mid-century ranch style...do you know anything more about it?

Makes total sense...it looks like an Eichler! I work not far from two Eichler tracts. An Eichler and three Phaetons...now that's living! :)
