This is a freeway overpass near me. Immediately after 9/11, on the 11th of every month, these patriots would hang their flags up and cause traffic jams during the afternoon commute. Thankfully, they got tired of doing it every month and they just do it once a year, on the 9/11 anniversary. Today, this caused a 15 mile traffic jam and a car crash. Jerks.

Jerks indeed. But, you know, 911 and all that.
I'm confused. Why does this cause a traffic jam? Are people compelled to stop the car and salute or something?
Edvin: We like to slow down suddenly and crane our necks up to look. Hence, the rear end accident.
