Cars at the Pebble Beach Concours

As you can tell, I'm more of a fan of post-war automobiles.

Nevertheless, this 100+ year old Cadillac was still intriguing.

As was this very narrow 1+1 seater.

A Rolls-Royce.

This Aston Martin is one of my favorites, and had zero chance of winning.

This controversial car was, in my opinion, the most beautiful car on display.  The flowing curves blew me away.

You're killing me with the missing IDs of some of these cars. What's the silver car in the background of the 300SL? It looks smaller and curvier than a normal one. What's the yellow V8. Lovely selection of vehicles.

@midelectric: The yellow car is a Fiat 8V Zagato. The car behind the Gullwing is another Gullwing. I was trying to capture all five in one shot, but there were too many people. I don't know what version the one in the background is, as it obviously looks different from the one in the foreground.

The rear roof treatment, where the double bubble terminates over the rear screen on that Yellow car (Fiat 8V?) is just stunning.

Just read, yep, 8V. Fiat thought that one of the American manufacturers had copyrighted the term "V8".

I know next to nothing about classic cars, but could the other SL be a 300 SLR Coupe?

I love the black Superamerica. Ferraris looked so damn good back then, unlike today.

What's the name of the burgundy curvy thing? Outrageous cars like that are the reason I wanna go to PB some day. I'd love to see a Delahaye up close.

@Edvin: I think you might be right about the SLR. I had assumed that they were all regular Gullwings so I did not investigate.

The curvy thing is a 1948 Norman Timbs.
