Touring the Loneliest Road In America

Here is the itinerary:
Day 1: Start from home (D).  End day in Ely, Nevada (B).
Day 2: Bum around in Ely and drive to Great Basin National Park.  Will try to reach Wheeler Peak (13,000 feet / 4,000 meters).  Spend night in Winnemucca (via Elko (C)) and hopefully enjoy a big Basque dinner.
Day 3: Return home.

Distance: 1,207 miles.
Drive time: 20 hours 35 minutes.

This video gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect:

Have a great trip, that's a fun run. Look for the tree with thousands of pairs of shoes on it, north side of Hwy 50, somewhat before Austin I think.

@Peter: Will do. Also, I'm following your suggestion and having my "passport" stamped.

@Mtc: It was supposed to be a new 325i. But it'll be my TSX instead. Fitting, as I went on a road trip with it when I bought it new and this will be my last road trip with it...
