While en route to visit Felix Leiter, a goon in a pimpmobile-- a modified Corvette-Cadillac amalgam-- shoots Charlie with a dart out of the pimpmobile's passenger side rear view mirror.
The bronze Chevy loses control and crashes into a Ford van.
Bond survives. Charlie doesn't.
