Carspotting: Greece edition-- Peugeot, Audi, Toyota, Peugeot, Toyota

She's back!  My other half just returned from her Greek odyssey and took quite a few pictures of cars she thought we might find interesting.

Peugeot 206 CC:

That's an in-door Shell gas station.

Audi 100 (A modern classic.):

Toyota Corolla (Did Europe get a different Corolla than Americans?  Or is it just the lights that are different?):

Peugeot 205:

Toyota Celica (Remember when every rally video game featured this car?):

There are more pictures to come.

Interesting to see what cars you Americans find fascinating. None of those make me feel anything. :)

You still see these old Sega Rally arcade games gathering dust at gas stations over here.

Never been that interested in Corollas tbh, but Wikipedia thinks they're quite similar.
"This range had different front and rear ends to the Japanese models, though the sides and interior remained mostly the same."

Actually, the Corolla makes me feel something, but nothing positive. In my youth the Corolla was the country's most sold car year after year after year. Usually in gray and with absolutely no extras. Only the most spartan model would do, because all extras are just something to break down and cost money at some point in life. This made the Corolla feel like the automotive anti-christ, the one with no soul. :)

My wife driving peugeot 206 for last couple years, and i had this kind of corolla about five years ago as a company car, btw my toyata was made in turkey. Normal cars, nothing extra, but from american point of view it is interesting isn't :)

Corollas sold here back then also had those front ends with round headlamps.

I liked it then, because it was diferent from everything else.

@Tarlan: Are any cars locally produced?

None, except assemblyng some iranian Samands, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IKCO_Samand

but they re not very popular due high price and bad quality.
