i LOVED my B5 A4 1.8t and LUSTED for the V6TT S4 but was always afraid i couldn't afford the ticking timebomb... designwise i think B5s have aged really well (despite jellybeanness).
@slirt: My friend's S4 from this generation lasted until a year or two ago. He replaced it with a new 3-Series wagon and intends to keep it for 15-20 years too.
