Nelson Mandela's W126 Mercedes 500SE
When Nelson Mandela was released in 1990, the black factory workers at the Mercedes plant in East London, South Africa, built this 500SE for him. Mercedes donated the parts and the workers volunteered an hour a day over a span of four days to assemble this red number.
