Kyrgyzstan devolves into chaos
The interim government is too weak and disorganized. Years, if not decades of brewing tension are about to boil over. Uyghurs and Dungans (ethnic Chinese Muslims) had been the focus of attacks last week. Now, it's ethnic Turks and Russians who are the victims of attempted land grabs. To make matters worse, forces allied with deposed leader Bakiev (who has fled to Belarus) have taken over small parts of the Kyrgyz south, where his popularity is still high.
