Carspotting today

While making a post office run, I saw this Corvair Rampside on a flatbed. It was bouncing so wildly, I thought it was going to break its chains and fall off.

Then I saw this decent BMW 325e while taking the dog for an evening walk.

Osunaarashi, the Egyptian sumo wrestler

Again, I heard this story on The World. Instead of a stew with pork, his stable changed it to fish and chicken. Plus, he's fasting for Ramadan. I don't even want to see what his blood sugar spikes look like after the sun sets. He seems like a softy off the ring.

Pot found in Jeep gas tank

I heard this on PRI's The World radio program. I assume this is low quality crap.

Black exhaust staining Hyundai Genesis bumper

I saw this today and thought it weird, especially for a new car. But apparently, it's a common problem for the Genesis.

Romney-Ryan 2012 shirts live on in Kenya

Well, those and "Detroit Tigers 2012 World Series Champions" shirts.

Story here.

He was a stray. He's about two years old. And he farts a lot.

Guantanamo force feed demonstration

Warning: This is graphic and LOUD, but worth watching.

Incredible Honda ad

This will bring a huge smile to your face, guaranteed.

Afrikaner-only settlements

Through sheer coincidence, I've been on an African kick lately. I'm reading Paul Theroux's latest travels in southern Africa (so far, it's a riveting and sad read), I got chocolate from Sao Tome, and we bought groceries from an Azorean shopkeeper (technically not African, I know).

And then, this story popped up:

Sao Tome e Principe chocolate

We were just bumming around North Berkeley today and came upon this. I'm not a chocolate connoisseur, but it's pretty damn good. Very subtle flavors. The maker seems like a purist/mad scientist-type.
