I didn't realize/remember that there were two CFA francs. How crazy is it that so many countries keep using currency controlled by France? Half a century after independence? Long after even France stopped using francs?
ReplyDeleteI do not believe it is really controlled by France. The CFA was indexed on the French Franc then after 2001/2002 on the Euro. Just like a certain number of currencies are indexed on US dollar.
