A great run

Not bad for a socialist!

Yep. Regardless of which one of the others wins, I'm betting on a four year term. This momentum won't be stopped. I have a feeling Sanders might take Jill Stein's offer, and we'll see the rise of a third party in 2020.

I'm not entirely convinced there wasn't some election fraud, either.

  2. I'm definitely bummed. I may vote third party for two reasons: First, California is going to vote Democratic no matter what, so I'm not worried about giving away a vote to Trump. Second, if I do vote third party, I'm effectively voting for a multi-party government like practically everywhere else in the civilized world.

That being the case, I'm considering voting for Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate. I'm not a Libertarian, but progressives like me are generally in step with them on non-economic issues. Plus, I'd love to see the Libertarians rise up as a viable third party. Partially because they're not complete idiots, but also because if they become more prominent, they'll likely be taking away from the Republican Party more than the Democrats. I want more parties than two, but I'd like the other side to break up to allow that to happen. ;)

  3. @Ed Kim: I was thinking about voting for Johnson on Sunday when I saw him on Meet the Press. Briefly.
