I went out of my way today to eat at this fish-and-chips place, which, according to Yelp, was supposed to be fantastic. It was awful.
That spray bottle was for the vinegar.

ugh too bad. let me know if you find a good, authentic fish & chips place -- i've been looking for one for a while. my recollection (admittedly hazy) is that british fish & chips was very lightly battered. everything i find state-side is a heavy beer batter where clumps fall off the fish after the first bite.
