Canada, US, Japan GP tickets and views

It's quite remarkable how different the tickets are. There is no uniformity whatsoever.

2011 Canada GP, Grandstand 33. When I planned my trip, I just got some General Admission tickets. When I got to Montreal, I looked on Craigslist and the Porsche Club of America had a few extra tickets for sale. This was the infamous rain-delayed race-- the longest F1 race in history. Plus, as I am proud to repeat ad nauseum, I witnessed Vettel sliding out on the last lap and Button passing him for the win.

2012 USGP, Turn 1 Suite. This was the inaugural race at Austin's COTA. My buddy hooked us up with these sweet tickets. The buffet was pretty damn tasty and I basically had my own personal bartender during the entire race. Very decadent. Note the ticket is hard, clear plastic.

2015 Japan GP. I picked this ticket up at will call. The gaijin F1 employee who gave me the ticket emphasized that the ticket was waterproof. I bought the ticket on F1's official site and the view from the seat was fantastic.
