Afghanistan's first and only cosmonaut

If you have an hour this weekend, I highly, highly recommend this documentary.

It's the late '80s. The Soviets were winding down their war in Afghanistan and needed positive PR. The rest is history. Great archival footage of pre-Taliban Kabul (exposed women's hair!) and of the Soviet space program. The burly mission commander is a hoot too. It's a fantastic story.
