Thanks to Alan and Edvin for bringing this to my attention. It's a Netflix-produced series and a big hit in Norway. It's about a New York mobster who moves to Lillehammer. I've seen two episodes so far and it is definitely a winner.
Can't wait for season 2. The show definitely is not without cheese, but it's very charming and clever. I really want to visit Norway since watching it.
I’m starting to drown in the depths of Netflix. It’s bottomless! Even when I can’t find movies I’m looking for (eg. Joe Dirt), something better inevitably pops up (eg. Compassion in Emptiness: Dalai Lama).

ReplyDelete@Alan: Definitely low budget.
ReplyDeleteBut I can't help but believe that docile/pacifist Norwegians want to break the rules just like Van Zandt.

ReplyDelete@Peter: Streaming is infinitely better than actual discs. I had the Miss Bala DVD on my TV stand for two months!
