I had a normally aspirated version of this as my first car. The dashboard was insane. I used to spend every rainless weekend washing and Armor All'ing the hell out of it.
@Alan: I got one of the first one's out. It was slow (maybe 85 hp) and the suspension was definitely not designed by Lotus. It was basically a cheap Japanese economy car with a sexy body.
I really like both generations of turbo Impulses. The this generation because they are beautiful. The later generation because it is light for an awd turbo car.
All the cats hanging around prove what a grade-A pussy magnet the Impulse was.
