Carspotting: 1989-1991 Lexus ES250 with manual transmission

Walked by this rare bird at the grocery store parking lot and did a double take.  Who knew that the first small Lexus came with a stick shift?

  1. So I'm not the only one who looks into parked cars to what type of transmission they're equipped with.

  2. @Alan: You're not the only one. Plus, ES250s in good shape are hard to find. I just had to take a look. I could have put my camera phone in the car (through the window crack) to get a better picture, but I think that would have crossed the line. :)

  3. Alan and kashgar216, you're not the only two, either. I also pay attention to the way a car drives (or more accurately, the way a driver drives it) to see what kind of transmission it has.
