Powered by a Wankel rotary engine.

  1. I always loved the design of the Fiat 7002 helicopter:

The Citroen may not have as much style, but it's got a Wankel and it's a Citroen... can't decide which is cooler.

  2. @Alan: I got the idea from an article in Automobile magazine about carmakers who dabbled in aircraft. Did you know Bugatti supplied engines for planes?!

  3. hmmm... I didn't mind the questionable reliability of the rotary in my old RX8. Don't know if I would say the same in a helicopter.

  4. Kashgar,

I'm a nut for old Bugattis. Have you seen the Bugatti-King 16? Essentially two Royale motors with cranks geared together and supercharged. They even built a Bugatti plane!
