So what do car guys drive to the race track? Let's take a look.
Porsche 356. Yes.
Toyota MR2, a collectible classic.
Maybe this Ford GT belongs to Al Pacino.
Lexus IS300 SportCross, which sold poorly in the States.
Ford Probe. It's in great condition. Maybe that motorized passive shoulder belt still works.
Miata towing wee trailer.
Buick Roadmaster belonging to SCCA official/volunteer.
I've owned several AW11 MR2s over the years in various states of tune from mild to wild (I wrote the comment under my name on the Motoring Con Brio piece) and can attest to its awesomeness, especially in supercharged form as pictured.
ReplyDeleteThat smashed wide-body NSX is a riot of intersting lines and details. I dream of owning one some day, and I go back and forth on whether I'd leave it clean and stock apart from a modest drop and some nice BBSs or go wild with a functional kit - it's a difficult decision because the NSX is such a pretty, minimal shape but perversely it also responds beautifully to agressive body mods (something that rarely looks good on any car IMO)... this is the kind of stuff I waste time dreaming of.
@Alan: Are you coming up to Monterey in August for the shows? If so, we should definitely meet up for drinks.
