i liked that song, which somehow managed to be both lightweight and substantive. i roll my eyes a little when u2 or led zep is used to move products - do they really need those extra royalties? - but i understand that a band like collective soul (which was last relevant in the late '90s) needs to get paid.
@MTC: No question that they are entitled to be paid. It's just that the song has A LOT of sentimental value and hearing it in such a different context was a shock to my frail sensibilities. :)
