Oakland parking holidays


Even though today, Veterans Day, is a holiday, you still have to feed the meter in Oakland or you will get a $55 ticket.  Damn those revenue generating bureaucrats.

The following days are considered Enforcement Holidays and there is no enforcement:
  • New Year's Day (January 1 st)
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • President's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day (July 4 th)
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day (December 25 th)
The following days are NOT considered Enforcement Holidays and all violations are enforced:
  • New Year's Eve
  • Lincoln Birthday
  • Admission Day
  • Columbus Day
  • Veterans Day
  • Day After Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve
