Maybe our German readers can help me with this one. It's a new B7 parked in California. It has a BMW of Beverly Hills registration sticker on the windshield, but German plates. Did this get here through BMW's European delivery program? Is that license plate a legitimate (and recent) plate from Germany?
Here is an excellent article about the new B7.
As far as i know it is legal but TEMPORARY registration plate for cars brought by non german resident in Germany, the date in up right corner of this plate shows the latest time until which car should leave Germany. I know that cause there is a lot of used cars from Germany here in Baku running on the streets awaiting custom clearance with those plates.

ReplyDeletei'm a stickler for parking, but i find this to be acceptable as he is not actually encroaching into another person's parking space.
i know where s/he is coming from, the feeling of wanting to keep a comfortable distance between your brand new car and the other guy's car parked in the adjacent spot. the fact that it is a bmw (and an alpina at that) just makes it feel more obnoxious than it probably is.
