Incidentally, scalecars.com is having a "close out sale" starting August 26. I hope they are just clearing inventory and not closing down for good. In any event, you might be able to pick up a few bargains.
If they do close out and you find yourself without a place to shop, try this guy out:

He owns a small shop about 3 miles from my house. Most of my collection I got from his place.
@F1O: Thanks. Their selection is excellent.
ReplyDelete1. I'm gonna be in Vegas. You think betting on Webber to win it all this season is a good idea? It will make watching a little more interesting. Or should I hedge my bets and bet on Webber AND Vettel?
2. Here is an article from the New York Times today about diecast car collecting. It's about NASCAR but I think it's applicable to car collecting in general.

I don't know if Red Bull is a sure bet at Spa. It's a very fast track and Red Bull's advantage is in the down force in low speed corners. Remember Vettel catching up to Alonso in the corners only for Alonso to open a gap in the front straight leaving Vettel without any passing options?
ReplyDeleteMy guess would be McLaren, but that's a big if too as they seem to have taken a step or two backwards.
Gonna read the article now. Good luck in Vegas!!!
...then I realize you were asking about the championship and not the next race!
ReplyDeleteWebber should be a good bet. Yeah. I've never put any money down on anyone in F1, but this year I'd put it on Webber.
