Bon Appetit 2010 food trends



Did this guy get his ideas by stepping into a time machine and going BACK in time?  Banh mi?  Sriracha? Comfort desserts?!

I just received a sneak peek of their 2011 food trend list: Wine coolers.  Fondue.  Frozen yogurt.

  1. Shriracha is trendy, eh? Weird how everyone down here in SoCal has been eating that stuff for years and years, and not just in greasy-spoon ethnic joints but in high-end places as well.

    It bothers me to no end that the utmost importance is placed on pronouncing "Bon Appetit" with a French accent, but the hot peppers (not the kind in Shriraca, BTW) are "Jalapeenyos".
