F1O mentioned in a recent comment that he is considering a Camaro and Mustang. Coincidentally, when I met Carenvy Peter last week, he was driving a Challenger SRT8 with the 392 engine. Peter prefers the Dodge over the Chevy and Ford. I have to admit that I really like the looks of the Dodge. I briefly sat in the cockpit, and although it was a bit cramped, it felt very comfortable and well laid out.
For me I like the way the Challenger looks but it's just way too big. The handling is also a big gripe.
The Mustang GT is already a decent handler and with the Track Pack it's really fun. It's basically a Boss 302 without the extra power and no ugly decals.
The Camaro has the 1LE package. Though it's slightly slower than the Mustang on a straight line it's faster than even the Boss 302 around a track.
This might be first car I decide to attend track-days with.
I've test driven the Mustang and the Camaro. I'll probably make up my mind by the weekend.
I don't like the size/proportions of the Challenger. It's huge only so they could proportionate it to look pony car-ish, and still looks strange, in my opinion.
My favourite has to be the Mustang, design-wise. People say that is the best handling of the trio, and the Challenger the most comfy. More of a Gran Turismo.
I guess you should drive all 3. And the Genesis. And the Infiniti G37. And why not a Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ?
